The best part for this kid was Dr. Wernher von Braun would give an educational intro to the show. I really enjoyed how things work. Its a guy thing.
First three scenes are the space ferry taking of from its island base.
Next is the electric space ships. A set of 6 sauce shaped ships on a voyage to Mars. A chemical rocket, tied below, makes the actual drop to the Martian surface.
The ship orbiting the moon is a Retriever rocket. I don't remember it as that. I remember it as the rocket that orbited the moon. Dropping flares and taking pictures.
Last is the Space Station, Retriever and Ferry all in orbit above the Earth.
